Noble gets the PlayerWatch treatment!

|

CandH PlayerWatch reporter Danny Leach runs the rule over skipper Mark Noble on the final day

2 – Kicks the ball on Jagielka’s head and the ball goes out but the referee strangely awards a corner
3 – Misses a header from a corner but luckily Funes Mori’s shot goes way over
4 – A pass to Mario on the left hand side is overhit and the ball goes for a throw
8 – Plays a great one two with Arnautovic on the edge of the box and then plays the ball out wide to Cresswell
9 – He turns his man and dribbles in the box before playing a one two with Arnautovic but his shot is saved and was probably to close to the centre of goal.
11 – Jagielka’s header into midfield is headed by Noble down to Mario
11 – Commits a tackle to Niasse but he beats him easily
24 – He miscontrols the ball allowing it to run through to Tosun on the edge of the box but his shot is well saved by Adrian
26 – Plays a through ball to Arnautovic but  is blatantly offside
30 – Plays a long ball from midfield to Arnautovic in the box but his shot is blocked
34 – Sends Baines in the wrong direction after a fake cross on the right hand side. Cuts in and plays a ball with the inside of his foot to Arnautovic
37 – Wins a drop ball in midfield with Schneiderlin
48 – Touches Davies cross out for a corner
78 – Kicks the ball out for a goal kick after Everton head out a corner
85 – Clears away an Everton corner
90 – Wins a foul in midfield after being dragged down by Klaasen

Verdict – 6.5The captain ended the season with a relatively good performance. In the first half he was the heart of our midfield and was dictating play and creating some really good chances but made the odd mistake. He should have scored as well in the 1st half after some really good link up play with Arnautovic. In the 2nd half he faded away possibly due to fatigue or tactical reasons but overall it was a good display by the skipper.

Trouble is with these late Sunday games you drink too much wine with your lunch .. The watch shows mistake after mistake but still gives 6.5 . Are you sure ! More like 4.0 on your observations . Personally I would give a 1 .0 for being loyal .

I hope bubbles isn’t chastised like he was in an earlier blog about having an opinion on Noble.Yes I know he goes on about Noble but I believe in tolerance as well and the right to express in a civil way one’s opinion.
