Noble’s emotional ‘appeal’ set to fail

|

Mark Noble’s plea – seemingly on behalf of a West Ham stay for ‘The Ginger Pele’ – looks unlikely to succeed in the short term.

Thirty five year old Ginge looked to have made his final appearance for the Irons in the last few minutes against Everton and left with tears in his eyes at the end.

Many fans – caught in the emotion – are hoping and praying the Hammers stalwart will get another deal and possibly a spot on the backroom staff.

But with a new manager seemingly on his way in, both outcomes look  improbable and should another club come in for him, Ginge looks set to end his career elsewhere.

Noble tweeted: “One of the bravest, honest, hardworking most loyal person you will ever meet, us at West Ham United have truly been lucky to have him at our club for so many years. James Collins let’s hope it continues.”

At 35 and with his hamstring injury inhibiting him towards the end of the season it would be a surprise were the club to come up with a new deal at this stage.

No Brainer . Collins still has a lot to offer as a quality back up . He should be given a new contract for a season to cover for Declan who will need a rest at some stage and also to mentor him . Noble has no further use to the team . Great goal ( defected ?? ) but back to Row Z 3 times in next 2 matches . Time to retire and contemplate how lucky he has been . COYI

I think noble has looked a different player since moyes came in.
Your relentless attack on him is now getting a bit tiresome.

your comments about Noble are so unnecessary.
He has given his all for the club and I agree with Bashammer11, he has been quality during Moyes stint. your right though, Collins needs a renewed year contract to help the progression of Declan Rice. he still has a year in him, easy!

Ain’t you got anything better to do like have an argument with an oncoming bus. Most fans would glady punch you in the face the way you constantly go on about it. Please do us all a favor and feck off n die

Bubbles you idiot..are you the same bubbles that ran on the pitch.. nobles been really good since Moyes came in..bubbles, I’ve never seen a bitterness like it, not only very sad for a grown man but also weird. Hugh, please ban this clown, it’s embarrasing for the site that people like this comment on here..

I wonder how many comments are from genuine fans sometimes
Ginge absolutely worth another year if nothing else but to work with youth
Noble yes a llittle slow but passionate loyal and every good about the west ham way im not saying first name on the team sheet but if you really want a new breed of home grown talent then no better example and worth keeping just for that
Do we really strive for expensive signings in for the money only
I never expected to win premier leagues ive just wantef for 45 year’s to be entertained and believe my team shares my passion

  • RickinJHB says:

Well said SimonP and Noble was no worst than alot of the others this year and infact the back end of the season he was probably better than most, let alone his influence in the dressing room.

  • Hammer64 says:

Nice touch by Noble handing over the armband. Same as his thanks to staff at the last UP game. Fans demand player loyalty but some don’t see it as a two way street. This guy has a good set of values & in my book we will be up there with the legendary captains. Has always been fully committed to the club. He can’t go on forever, but I hope he is treated right when the time comes. Some of the attacks on him have been shameful.

  • Polo says:

I don’t know enough about his ability to stay fit but if that info is in the positive then he’s definitely worth another season

  • Hammerkip says:

Show some loyalty to ginge he loves this club and he has more to offer on and off the field ..other players should take a leaf out of hi s book…top man ..

  • master says:

i’m actually alright with him going. love he fella to bits but one more season is likely too long and we need to build for the future. hope he’s offered the coaching option but i suspect he doesn’t want that at the moment. should leave the door open just like we did for collison.
