Nolan rips into former Hammer

|

Kevin Nolan was critical of former Hammers favourite Jesse Lingard after a terrible mistake saw the attacking midfielder  help his Nottingham Forest team back to the bottom of the table in a key match against Leicester City.

The former Hammer’s awful attempt a clearance on the edge of his penalty area fell eventually to James Maddison who deflected shot set the Foxes on their way to a 4-0 win

And Nolan, on punditry duty, wasn’t slow to let his feelings be known on the Lingard mistake which helped set the Foxes on their way to a 4-0 hammering of their local rivals.

And this from a team who had been sitting bottom with the most goals conceded after seven games in Premier League history and only one point to their name.

Lingard had been tipped of course for a Hammers return until he opted for a big personal terms deal with the newly promoted City Gound outfit.

Jesse is going to be disappointed because a man of his talent and quality should be clearing that,” said Nolan speaking to  Premier League Productions (03/10/22 at 10:10 pm)

“His quality is there for all to see, but that’s where the ball (Lingard’s attempted clearance) should end up (towards the halfway line). But two seconds later, it’s in the back of the Forest net and that was the start of the end for Forest.”

I suppose now some snowflake is going to object and take offence to what Nolan said about Lingard.

‘Schadenfreude’ is the word for it, ‘malicious pleasure in the misfortune of others’ – Lingard is having a nightmare at Nottingham Forest and I have to admit it does make you smile! 😉

I see that the Owner at Forest has started wielding the axe, starting with his Recruitment Team – the Manager there has been dealt an almost impossible hand! 😳
