The first Rugby World Cup match will be played at the Olympic Stadium later today when France take on Romania, on Thursday it will be New Zealand’s turn to take on Namibia in the group stages of the competition in Stratford. Many West Ham fans have bought tickets to experience the stadium for themselves ahead of the move next August with some buying the exact seat they chose in their season ticket appointment.
The organisers have completely hidden the orange running track under artificial grass in a similar way that the track will be hidden when West Ham plays there at the start of 2016/2017 season. The Rugby World Cup bronze final will be played at the Stadium on October 30th which is regarded as the biggest game of the fixtures on offer at the Olympic Stadium. Other matches in October include Ireland v Italy on October 4th and South Africa v United States on October 7th.
The running track and the pitch will both be replaced after the Rugby World Cup.
O goodie goodie! more money coming West Ham’s way, that’ll help us buy another player for next season being as we are ripping the Tax Payers off.
