  • COYI@HK Ching says:

The Line-up is is just a typical first team XI.
That shows our ambition, and also our squad depth.
We have every chance to go further in this competition.

    COME ON YOU IRONS!!!

  • The Boleyn Badger says:

Strong looking team.Far stronger than i expected actually.Good news,Slav is taking it seriously.COYI

  • TysonM says:

Is a stronger team than i expected as well Bagder.Good to see though.Strong bench as well with Reid,Kouyate & Payet on it.Thought Payet might have missed the game altogether 😉

  • Sams P45 says:

Cracking team.Slav wants a piece of this League Cup for sure.Wasnt expecting a team full of youngsters but this is stronger than i expected.Seen us field weaker teams in Prem matches than this one in recent times.

  • Bob The Iron says:

Im watching it on Hammers TV but cheers for the link.Zarate taken the chance in the team he is given.Good boy 😉

  • orbearider66 says:

I tried listening to the radio broadcast but, not surprisingly, it is blocked in the US. However, before the broadcast cut off, the commentators noted that the atmosphere in Leicester was crap and not what they were accustomed to and they also noted that there were “thousands of West Ham fans” in attendance.

  • Bob The Iron says:

Yeah we have a good following up there. The atmosphere is alright, aint a sell out but a reasonable crowd.
    Im watching it on this

1-1 at HT.Could be worse, could be 0-4 at HT like Sunderland, lol.Bet Hippohead is already checking out properties in the North East 😀

  • mountdouchemore says:

Seems to me you guys have an inferiority complex – is it because WHTID never talk about c&h that you lot have to have a least one comment per post with the words wetpants included? how very telling…

    • TysonM says:

Well thats were your facts fall flat on their face, because they do.But most of them or us dont care about it.Its just a bit banter. Its when fools like you come over to cause problems it goes beyond a little harmless forum banter. But if you get a kick out of it crack on.Not an issue.Knock yourself out.Mind you another factually incorrect statement from you.See no mention of wetpants on this article.

    • orbearider66 says:

Who said anything about wetpants in this thread?

I will commend you though … I appreciate it when people pick screen names that match their personality. I guess mount******** was already taken.

  • StingRay Stewart says:

Just ignore him lads.Another in a long list of w*nkers who comes from Wetpants to cause a row or uses neither site so tries to start a row between the sites.Seen too many now to let it bother me.Sad life they lead!

    • mountdouchemore says:

See – there, you proved – an inferiority a complex – plain and simple.

      • SlimJim says:

No it has just been proven as fact that guys have come from there or others who dont use either site come here to cause issues.Much like you really. But sorry you are wasting your time. You wont get anyone fighting just for your benefit.Sorry, wasting your time.Go find a fight elsewhere!

        • mountdouchemore says:

You serious? “another in a long list of w*nkers who comes from Wetpants” Mmwwwaaahhhaaaahhhhaaa! point is proved on two fronts. Firstly that there’s always a wetpants reference and secondly because poor old Stingray Stewart obviously feels totally inferior and perhaps even a little obsessed – I mean, seriously – where’s this long list?

          • Boys of 66 says:

Seems you are the only obsessed one with the fact people call a site ‘Wetpants’.Seems you are the only on with the hang up.Dont see people going there to cry about this site being called Parrot & Poo or whatever other nickname is used.Dry your tears Douche. No one else is interested apart from you Drama Queen.

          • Billy Hammer says:

You really cant expect much more than a sh*t stirrer with a name like ‘douche’.Why choose that name unless your only intention is to cause sh*t!

  • SlimJim says:

Hmmm,Brokeback Mountain returns with its normal garbage. What a sad little person.

  • claret1 says:

without wishing to take sides douchemoore does have a point – the anti blog “banter” does seem to be a bit of a one way street.

    • Nolans Magic Feet says:

Without wishing to take sides also then if you read this site regularly & recently you would understand Douche only comments on here to try to start a fight. It really is as simple as that.I use both sites but i aint blind to his motives on here.

  • claret1 says:

I also read both sites regularly and wetpants is used here on a regular basis, for what reason I can never work out. I think this douche character rightly or wrongly has taken offence and is trying to make his point.

  • Nolans Magic Feet says:

I think if you know the history of the two sites it really is just said in jest. This place was & gets called Parrot & Poo or i have seen Spew it & chew as well by there users.Funny names, nothing to get worked up about. In fact some of there guys call others on there Wetpants. It is a non-issue.I use that site more than here,so im a Wetpants,i find it amusing. What i dont find amusing is people like douche intentionally trying to cause friction.Anyway they seem to be too busy fighting with eachother recently to be bothered what anyone says on here, lol.Thats why i came here to get away from the infighting.Seems the peace cant be found here either 😀

  • Nolans Magic Feet says:

Sorry, predictive text had me on there not their. The grammer police will be picking me up on that, lol

    • Alan the 'appy 'ammer says:

As it happens if you use both sites it aint even difficult to work out who it is.But still that is immaterial.

  • Alan the 'appy 'ammer says:

Oh well the League Cup will have to wait till next year, lol
As for Parrot & Poo & Wetpants, both names make me smile.Whats the bid deal. The guys from both sites dont give a damn.Only people looking for an arguement.
Douchemore youre a bore but have fun!

  • Radai Lama says:

Thats it lads,no more League Cup matches at The Boleyn ever again. But still what does that matter, lets all have a moan up about being called Wetpants.Thats the real important issue to be sad about or create an arguement about.Lame!!

    • Radai Lama says:

Oh & for the record Douchemore you sensitive little orchid i couldnt give a damn about this place being called Parrot & Poo,when i first saw it i thought it was cracking, or if the guys on WHTID used it all the time.It affects me not one jot,so get over yourself ffs.

  • slaven a laugh says:

Hugely dissapointing. First I would rather have seen a complete change of team , the same as Leicester did but keep our big guns on the bench ready to come on and win it in the later stages, like Leicester did. Instead we played mostly the team that gave everything against city and must have been understandably feeling leggy especially in the later stages. In the later stages instead of bringing on a sakho or the like we bought on winston Reid a defender for a midfielder? When we were being outnumbered in midfield. Very strange. I didn’t understand the subs. I didn’t get taking Carroll off and then playing Moses upfront. In the later stages we could have used carrolls head on the end of all those free kicks by Payet. We ended up with a team that was all defenders and midfielders. I would rather have seen players like Cullen, Samuelson, Oxford and Hendrie getting a game to be honest. I understand the winning team momentum argument but it doesn’t wash with me. The team that played city should have been rested. It wouldn’t have been that team that lost so that team would not have lost any momentum but could have come back in the league still full of confidence.

  • Boys of 66 says:

Bring on the FA Cup.We will win that instead. We are gunna lose sometimes,we have no divine right to win every game.Leicester are also flying. Was going to be a tough game.Move on.Norwich next,3pts up for grabs.Lets stay in the top three! 😉

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

Fair play to Leicester, they showed why they have got the same amount of points as us, they are playing really well and doing what we are doing better than us at the moment. Its one of those ups and downs we will have, a disappointment but we have to hold our hands up and get on with it. There is no shame in losing to the 2nd best team in the league if you look at their form towards the end of last season and then this one.

  • canchaz says:

About the only thing we got from this game is that the team that beat City is our A team and that our B team is way below the A team.
Don’t know whether wearing out some of our A team to find that out was worth it Still think we can only get a return on Carroll is as an impact sub. He just doesn’t seem to fit into the way teams play today, as a regular full time striker.
All in all glad we are out early from this competition. Wouldn’t do us much good to flog our players to death and risk a serious injury just to last another few rounds.

  • slaven a laugh says:

It wasn’t our b team against high flying Leicester though. It was the other way round. It was Leicesters b team against high flying West Ham. The team we played was mostly the same as the one that beat city.

  • Boys of 66 says:

Bloody hell if we had just lost at Rochdale i might have the hump but we lost to another Prem team. These things happen. No need for a meltdown.I would rather be in our position right now than a Sunderland fans position. Now thats something to be down about 😉

  • slaven a laugh says:

Can’t stand losing personally and can’t stand loser attitudes. I’m fed up of being told were better off out of Europe or better off out of any cup competition. Next thing it’s we’re better off out of the league. The old Classic “we’re better off being relegated”. It’s about time our club and its supporters started adopting a winning mentality.

    • Boys of 66 says:

Nothing to do with having a ‘loser’ mentality.Ofc im ****ed off we are out,but at the same time there is naff all i can do about it so having a hissy fit isnt going to do me any good is it,lol.Unless you are going to win both cups every season you are going to lose & get knocked out sometimes. What are we ment to do,all go kick our dogs round the house 😉

  • slaven a laugh says:

But you’re right. At least we’re not Sunderland.
