Crystal Palace co chairman Steve Parish has made it clear that he will move heaven and earth to get alleged West Ham target Yohan Cabaye into Selhurst Park from Paris Saint-Germain.
Many reports have linked the midfielder with a Hammers move but speaking on talkSPORT Parish declared it would be a ‘massive’ signing for his club.
He also admitted the signing would be in excess of £10 million and added: “‘Yohan Cabaye is definitely one we’d like to do. It would be a massive thing for the club obviously, because he’s a seasoned international.’
Pardew has made Cabaye his ‘must have’ target but there is also interest from Spurs and and Southampton. However, Parish’s on the record comments suggest that he may be feeling a growing confidence in his ability to grab the player.
However, he added: ‘Getting the top players is difficult, it’s a difficult transfer market right now.”
He could be the icing on the cake if we can get the RB,CH and CF positions filled first with the best available,
