Parkes welcomes Irons decision

|

adrianPhil Parkes has welcomed the club’s decision to offer Adrian a new three year deal with an option in their favour and has repeated his criticisms of  Joe Hart.

ClaretandHugh has reported the club is preparing for talks with the stopper and Parkesy believes they have got it right insisting it was a wrong decision to bring Hart to the club  declaring: “I don’t like him as a keeper and it was unnecessary.

“It’s a big feather in Adrian’s cap that he has managed to regain the sweater having done the same last season when we had two entirely adequate keepers on the staff. ”

Having said that, he blames the Spaniard from the opening goal against Bournemouth last weekend and a look at the video explains why with the stopper coming off his line for a 50-50 and then retreating when believing he couldn’t get there before being beaten.

But Parkesy said: “All keepers make misjudgements but for me Adrian is the better of the two and I m happy that the club are ready to offer him  new deal in the summer.”

He deserves it & in summer we should find a good young #2 for him or bring Trott up if ready. Shame we went thru all these w Hart never thought was good idea & agree w Parkes.

Also Collins should be next we need him on pitch & seems to be better w age. This season & last 2-3 he has been very good CB & doesn’t mind being squad player but to me is more reliable then Reid tbh.
I would give him Coach/player contract & have him work on badges.

Having players like Him Adrian & Noble around who are passionate about the club is good for the club & the kids coming up the ranks
