Pay rise for Rice now say supporters

|

Over 77% of Claret and Hugh readers believe West Ham should pay Declan Rice his £30,000 basic per week wage demands now and not stall any longer, Just over 5% believe the talks should wait until the Summer as reported by the Guardian earlier this week.

Interestingly nearly 17% say the current offer is enough for the 19-year-old and the Hammers should not offer more at this point in his career.

The 19-year-old is thought to currently earn £3,000 per week basic wage plus £10,000 per appearance bonus each time he starts.

It has been widely reported that the last West Ham offer consisted of an offer of £21,000 per week basic wage, £20,000 per Premier League start bonus and a £5,000 per week basic increase after 15 Premier League starts.

Declan’s agent Neil Fewings from the Wasserman Media Group is thought to be holding out for £30,000 per week basic plus the various bonuses on offer and negotiations are said to have cooled in recent weeks with no dialogue between the two sides.

Poll Results: 1,495 voted: Pay him now 77.39% (1,157) In the Summer 5.69% (85) No pay rise 16.92% (253)
