Hammers linked to third Chelsea player

|

West Ham are this morning being linked with a move for a third Chelsea player after speculation that we are in for both Gary Cahill and Danny Drinkwater.

According to ExWHUemployee we are interested in former loan player Victor Moses who was with us for a year in 2015-16 when he registered one goal in 21 appearances.

According to Ex during the West Ham Way podcast the club are prioritising the right back position following injury to Ryan Fredericks the Chelsea player is a target.

He claimed “very early talks” had been held at bringing him in as the manager is keen to get players as soon as the window opens.

Moses has been given no chance to impress Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri this season having been given just a couple of short cameo appearances.

However, were he to make the move to the London Stadium he would probably have to settle for a supporting role again as Zaba has been in fine form and indeed captained the team in the absence of Mark Noble.

Whether that would be enough to satisfy him has to be questionable and there seems little doubt that the left back and midfield positions are the ones that needs settling perhaps more urgently.

IF we are looking at Moses I would assume it is a loan deal; I also seem to remember the one goal was against City?

Either way, he wouldn’t be competing for RB on a back 4, don’t think he ever played there… Moses can do Wing back in a back 5, and more likely, as he played most career, as a right winger. Would also argue thay If Zab gets injuries we have a more serious RB issue than LB, don’t you agree?
