dimitri-payet (1)Dimitri Payet has been named London’s best signing of the summer by a distance in a Twitter poll organised by www.London24.com.

The £10.8 million signing grabbed 73.3 per cent of the votes, which featured players from the capital’s five Premier League clubs.

Payet  has 15 caps for his country and his departure was mourned by his Marseille fans.

Back in second place – with a mere 8.9 per cent of the vote – was Pedro, who joined Chelsea from Barcelona this summer.

Crystal Palace’s Yohan Cabaye was third in the voting with 7.4 per cent of the vote, Arsenal’s Petr Cech was next with 5.5 per cent – closely followed by new Tottenham signing, Son Heung-Min, who picked up 4.9 per cent of the vote.
