Pellegrini responds to ‘sack him’ lobby

|

Nothing changes in Manuel Pellegrini’s world apparently be it Match One, match 16 0r match 38!

Whilst there may be – as written here yesterday – little boardroom appetite for a change of manager, speculation of the ‘boot’ intensifies with every passing game.

He has had the lot thrown at him again after the Wolves game with accusations on our forums ranging from “picking up his pension” to “not caring” and far worse.

The  owners too are getting their fair share of knocking with some claiming they are not showing the guts or ambition to get rid of one of the League’s highest paid bosses.

Unchanging Pellegrini continues to take it on the chin as he prepares for a game which could create terrible fall-out should the Irons not beat a pretty awful looking Arsenal outfit at the London Stadium tomorrow evening.

Such is the dreadful Irons form that even for a match such as this the odds against us winning are 23/10 with the north Londoners priced at even money to win.

Mind you that seems a good price to me.

Pellegrini talking to the official site and quoted at https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/manuel-pellegrini-not-worried-despite-21043414 responded to the latest round of chat: “I am not under pressure. I am under my pressure from the first game of the season to the last game of the season.

“The pressure doesn’t link with the results. The pressure for me is in every game, to do it better, play well and win the game.

“You do not need to be in a bad position, without a win in so many games, to start to feel the pressure. Pressure is there always.”

I see that Sky are being very naughty tomorrow night, as Rafa is the guest pundit for a west ham v arsenal game? Supposedly they say he is there to discuss Liverpool, but I think we all know different?
