PIC: Liverpool goal ‘miles’ offside

|

The Liverpool goal really was as offside as it gets!

Nobody wants to accuse officials of favouring the bigger teams but you have to wonder how on earth paid referees’ assistants can miss something as obvious as this.

Everybody inside the stadium and those watching on TV could see clearly that James Milner was a yard or two off before squaring for Mane to score the opening goal.

And this picture – submitted by a CandH follower known to us only as Ricky – could not make the case any clearer.

So justice was well and truly done when Michail Antonio spun through the defence and thundered his equaliser in off the far post six minutes later.

However, these sort of decisions in such high profile games before millions on the ‘box’ do the game no good at all.

When players make glaring mistakes they can pay an awful price. Officials it seems just carry on barely noticed and it won’t do!

This is the worst assistant referee in premier league history.

It seems that the Premier League directive has gone out that liverpool are now the favoured team, that officials must help whenever possible. Apart from the offsides, Cresswell almost had his leg removed after the ball had gone, without so much as a wimper from the ref.
Ahhhh, how relaxing to see both Cresswell and Noble back in the team.

OffsideSSSS, the Assistants missed about 3 other clear offsides including one in the last minute that nearly won it for Scallipool….. shocking, bring on VAR
