Poll: Dimi Payet Sell or Keep?

|

West Ham are being accused of having become a one man team – too reliant on Dimi Payet! The player has left his future open in a recent interview on French TV so do you believe we should cash in if the right offer is made or continue to build the team around him.

He can’t be sold on last year’s performance and based on this year I don’t think he’d fetch the money required to sell! He’s a really good player but he’s not a great player, great players do it week in week out and influence nearly every game, at the moment we are under the cosh and he is being carried for large parts of the game!

  • Bil155 says:

Don’t get me wrong I hope and Pray he stays but why has it taken 29 years for him to suddenly become the great player I would take 50 million for him just in case it’sa one or 2 year wonder

  • TRB says:

Dimitre Payet has never said he wants to leave. A sh*t stirring reporter has commented that Dimi has dropped a hint…..but he hasn’t and now it’s all THIS!!

C&H haven’t helped here with this pathetic poll……if Dimi got wind that ‘nearly 40%’ want him ti be sold, then he might then think ‘OK, I’ll go then!’. You bloody idiots!

Payet being sold is a no brainer…… He’s the greatest player we’ve had since Di Canio and the mindless 37% want him to go??

  • RickHammer says:

It could only happen with our support couldnt it.We have a player on the short list for the Ballon d’or & almost 40% want to sell him lool.
Yeah great idea lets sell him & then be absolutely screwed.Dont worry though we can always have Noble to take the freekicks again if Cressie doesnt fancy it.
Ok im just off to bang my head against a wall 🙂

hahah… good idea Rick, I think Captain Slow and his magical feet are a valid alternative to Dimi… lool 😀

Some fans aint right in the head Matte. They need sticking in a padded cell for their own safety 😀

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

We have one World Class player and people want to sell him, crazy especially when you see how average we look without him. The team needs to lift itself up to get closer to his level, he hasn’t said he wants to leave he said he is not closed off to the idea, the rest of the team should see that as a reason to up their games or he will be off and no one would be able to blame him.

  • Tone not Tore says:

Nearly 40% say sell haha, just what i have always suspected, some supporters are clueless.Dear oh dear..

  • flicker.of.the.bean says:

    Ha ha!!!!!!

  • flicker.of.the.bean says:

Put the whole team on the market. Start again from scratch. One good season and they all think they can win a game with out trying. 😳

  • mattefumi27 says:

WOW, that’s amusing… nearly 40% voted for “Sell”… our best player, one of the few who makes the difference, a candy for the eyes… and he has to go. ok, that’s wonderful, sell Payet but please, keep the China Doll, that’s what I call a true legend… LMAO 😉

  • Stan The Man says:

Why would we sell him because of a comment made on a tv show.
Ok all the ones who have voted sell would soon be moaning how much we miss him.Madness lmao

I watched the interview on Téléfoot and I’m paraphrasing here and giving my take on what I understood. He basically said that he’s ambitious and wants to do his best. He’s closed the door on nothing, but in a possible transfer in January is not his priority in October. His first priority is getting over the move and getting West Ham in a better position. The French presenters were trying to tease something out of him and he was quite straight with them and basically said that transfer talk at this time of the year is inappropriate. The British press have made a meal out of the I’m not closing the door on anything quote and made it sound as if he wants away. The only thing that could be troubling is his final quote, which the Independent picked up – that he chose his clubs according to the sports project. Obviously if that goes tits-up and he feels the club doesn’t match his ambitions, then who knows?

  • hammersfan01 says:

Obviously if he is agitating to leave then he’s no use to us. But is he though? All he’s said is “I keep all my options open”; would any of us, if an opportunity presented itself, say “no, I’m going to stay where I am for the rest of my working life”? What modern footballer, particularly one playing in another country, would say “I’m never going to leave this club ever”. The thing that needs to happen to try and ensure he doesn’t want to leave (yet) is for the team to start playing better, winning more, and doing their share.

  • WestGoaHam says:

No point keeping a player who wants to leave!

  • Err, do you believe the fans shouldn’t be allowed to express their opinion them Michael?

    • TRB says:

Just like TalkSport radio you and Sean have stirred the pot by inviting the idiots to chip in with the usual negativity, Hugh…….. Slaven has been trying to build a team around Dimi for 15 months, but has been hampered this season from day one by a very unlucky run of players not available through injury or a lack of fitness. Some have been gradually coming back in recent weeks, and the squad currently has Carroll, Sakho, Masuako, Byram, Tore, Arbeloa (where is he?), Reid and now Collins all out for varying fitness concerns.

There is no question over whether Dimi Payet stays or not.

  • MerryMichaelW says:

Errr … are we in danger of losing our minds, here? ☹️
