Diego Poyet was not part of the squad for MK Dons’ 1-1 draw at Leeds, after which the Milton Keynes manager, Karl Robinson revealed the midfielder is returning to West Ham as he is too similar in style to vice-captain Darren Potter.
“As a combination they didn’t do too well together and he knows what Darren Potter means to my football club, It’s not fair on a young player to not give him many minutes and in time he will be a much better player than a lot in this league. He’s a tremendous young man.”
Poyet featured in five times in the Europa League ties before joining MK Dons for what was supposed to be a season long loan at Mk Stadium.
Poyet joined West HamĀ on 8 thJuly 2014, signing a four-year contract with West Ham and Charlton reaching a settlement for compensation.
Totally agree I do think SLAVEN will develop these future prospects rather than sidelined them like fat head did
Unfortunately, neither manager has given academy players a go – even during an injury crisis.
Bring him back to rebuild his confidence let him join in the new system,
Yes he would be great to bring in against Wolves and give Kouate a rest after Xmas
He was doing ok at the beginning of the season and could save us a fortune as a replacement for Song next year,
Loan him to the posh and play with Samuelson !!!
Put him on the bench against wolves, if he isn’t cup tied.
