Prediction: Hammers to finish outside top six

|

A Talksport super computer has predicted that West Ham will finish outside the top six come the end of the current Premier League season.

The prediction suggests the Hammers will finish in seventh place one worse than the Iron’s magnificent sixth place finish last season.

Talksport haven’t explained what data they used to calculate the final positions so it should be taken with a pinch of salt.

West Ham currently sit in fourth place on 27 after 15 games which means we have averaged an incredible 1.8 points per game so far.

If we carried on that average we could reach 68 points by May which would have been enough to earn a fourth place finish last season and qualify for the Champions League.

There is no doubt that recent injury problems in losing Angelo Obgonna, Kurt Zouma and Ben Johnson will cause us some challenges and could dent David Moyes ambitions this season but don’t write West Ham off from a top six finish just yet.

Phew, going by the headline I initially thought that someone with credibility had made this forecast… Only to find out that this is a Talksport prediction.
More nonsense from the kings of rubbish and stirring controversy 🤔

I agree these predictions are much like New Year resolutions so generally a waste of time. However I do enjoy the current focus on us and self annointed big six.
I think they are crapping themselves at another interloper into their little cartel. They had to spend a shed load of cash on team strengthening after being caught out by Leicester!
It’s also great that after many years no mention of will we won’t we dodge relegation.
No wonder the frightened 6 wanted a sealed off super league.

At least 3 of the big six arent. Arsenal-spurs- manure. Big six no longer exist. Big three possibly or in practice just one Man City.

That prediction makes us 2nd worst London club whereas at the moment we are 2nd after Chelsea. Hmmm -don’t really mind as long as we win a cup. Let’s see where we stand in March when Europa League restarts and we should have a stronger squad.
