Qatari interest in the Irons rumoured

Qatari interest in the Irons?

Disturbing news from the BBC, who have just reported that if the Qatari bid for Manchester United falls through, the mighty Irons maybe next on their shopping list.

Sheik Jassim and his petrodollars seem to want ownership of a Premier League club by any means.

This is quite ominous as West Ham could attract takeover interest from Qatar if the Quatari  bid is rejected by the Glazer family, which may lead Jassim to East London with the Hammers as a possible purchase option.

The  Sheik made a final bid to buy Manchester United over a month ago, and is still yet to hear a reply as the takeover battle rumbles on with Jim Ratcliffe.

It goes without saying that it would be marvellous to have a war chest of billions but at what cost?

These people are the antithesis of what football and dare I say it, “the West Ham way” is all about.

If this rumour is anything but true, I am sure that David Sullivan and the board will do the decent thing and point them to the exit door or even better send them down to The Den !
