Ratings 2: Hammers v Burnley

|

Niall hands out his marks

Fabianski: One nervy moment receiving a Fornals back-pass aside, no problems from the various combinations of strikers Dyche threw on 6
Coufal: Less to do as Burnley focussed on trying to beat Dawson and Ogbonna 7
Dawson: So that’s 4 games – 4 clean sheets; heading into club record territory surely? 9
Ogbonna: Another towering display at the back 9
Cresswell: Looking reborn as a left-back these days 7
Rice: Comfortable doing the defensive stuff and played some fine balls to set up attacks 7
Soucek: Strolled through the game, looks a class act 7
Fornals: Does a lot of hard work closing down and shutting down spaces for the side 7
Bowen: Excellent defensive work in tandem with Coufal; could have scored a couple with some quicker finishing 7
Benrahma: Best game so far, more effective in attack, and getting up to the pace of the PL 7
Antonio: Survived unscathed, some great lone striker play, and scored what ended up being the winner 8

Subs
Lanzini: Some neat and tidy play, close to a 2nd in stoppage time 5
Yarmolenko: On late, one fine breakaway resulted in a corner rather than a goal 5

Excellent defensive work Bowen? Was we watching a different game? Did you not notice how many times he gave the ball away to Burnley?

I’d switch the Marks for Dawson and Rice. The former made some false passes from inside the box early on, the latter was literally all over the pitch. Otherwise, great Marks.
