Record signing linked with January exit

|

arnau2Turkish website Ajansspor claims the agent of Marko Arnautovic has been invited to Istanbul for talks with Fenerbache next week over his client’s future at West Ham. The 28-year-old has been linked with an early exit from the London Stadium this January after failing to make an impact for the Hammers.

Arnautovic is yet to score a goal or assist a goal in nine Premier League games, and speculation persists that the Hammers could cut and run should a suitable offer come in.

West Ham would be looking to recoup the £20m initial outlay they paid Stoke City but his high wages of £80,000 per week could prove to be difficult for some European clubs to pay.

Not sure about this one, especially if Arnie can pick up some form over the next month or so?
In addition, I can only imagine that he would enjoy his football more in England than Turkey

And the brittle boned forward who ain’t scored in 7 months and has had 3 assists will remain 😆 Only at West Ham eh

I have been linked with a move out of my armchair in January. But it’s just another of those rumours….Someone should ban that phrase ‘linked with…’

    • JRS says:

Linked is right 64 we are always linked with everyone & everything.
Really be daft to sell Arnie in Jan anyway would get half what we paid. Wouldn’t make since. Let him come good which he is turning around.
Sqaud is already to thin so really we shouldn’t sell anyone without replacements. Need 3 players alone.
Tho I would sell Ogbonna if we could get in a CH like Jansonn Flint Moore or giant Cardiff CH

I think that might have be down to the generous use of the ‘c’ word🤣🤣🤣

Can’t remember all the ‘war chest’ posts, but I seem to remember most thinking £20mill was pretty p!55-poor (but may not be remembering correctly).
Can’t think of any reason to pull it though🤔

  • Mary Millingtons Ghost says:

After yesterday’s mysteriously disappearing article of a £20mill ‘war chest’, does this mean we could potentially have £40/50mill in January should we flog him and Wheatabix ankles?

  • jimbo says:

Why did anyone read an article which began with the words “Turkish website” ? Those two words were enough for me to move on chaps!
