Former Hammer Dimi Payet has been labelled a failure and overweight by the French media who have grown impatient with the player’s recent form at Marseille.
Journalist Daniel Riolo said “How much weight does Payet need to lose? He was a 30 million euro transfer, there has to be someone at the club who will tell him that he will soon break the needle of the scales? He is fat like a Turkish delight. He is a professional player”
In January West Ham confirmed that the club has agreed on a £25m fee with Olympique de Marseille to sell Dimitri Payet to his former club. The current transfer figure could rise to £30m should Marseille qualify for the Champions League and/or win Ligue 1 during Payet’s contract.
Looks like he has given up on any ambition, he was getting progressively heavier and slower under Bilic and it doesn’t look like the diet in Marseille has slowed that down does it ?

That’s a shame. I really hoped it would work out for him.
I don’t feel bad for Payet. But I also think/know his move to West Ham put him in another level got in France.
I think is style is suited to the PL very well & when he was leaving I thought what waste he is built for this league & the love hasn’t worked out for him as he hoped.
