Report: Brighton leading Hammers in transfer chase

|

Brighton are leading the race to sign Blackburn Rovers striker Ben Brereton Diaz, according to a new report from TeamTalk.

The Hammers have been heavily linked with a potential move to sign the Chile international, who has been in exceptional form for Blackburn thus far this season.

The 22-year-old has scored 20 goals in 30 Championship games this term, with Blackburn currently fourth in the table and chasing promotion to the Premier League.

TeamTalk now reports that there is real interest from Brighton in signing Diaz and are ready to offer players in exchange to Blackburn.

Jan Paul van Hecke and Reda Khadra are both on loan at Blackburn from the Seagulls and they could be offered on a permanent basis in order to bring Diaz into the club.

Along with West Ham and Brighton, there is also said to be interest from Crystal Palace, Leeds, and Everton in signing the striker, who has emerged as one of the top talents outside the Premier League.
