Report: Champions league striker snubbed West Ham

|

Mario Mandzukic snubbed West Ham according to Gianluca di Marzio.

The 34-year-old Champions League-winning centre-forward quit Juventus in January to flout to Qatar to join Al-Duhail on a free transfer.

The former Croatian international striker quit Qatar in July without making an appearance becoming a free agent again but is now in talks with Bologna, according to Sky Sports.

Gianluca di Marzio claims he turned down offers from the Hammers and Aston Villa.

The striker was thought to earn £130,000 per week at Juventus and made 118 appearances scoring 31 goals over four goals.

He joined Juventus from Atl Madrid for £13.6m in 2015 where he made 28 appearances scoring 12 goals.

He previously scored goals for fun for Bayern Munich 33 goals from 54 league appearances leaving for £19m.

Before that, he played for  Wolfsburg scoring 20 goals from 56 appearances.

That is no doubt of his experience and goal-scoring ability but at 34 years of age, he would have been a short term fix at best.
