Report: Hammers close to £31m striker

Moussa Marega is reported to believe that a move to West Ham is close.

Currently away with Mali at the African Cup of Nations, it has been reported by Portuguese media that Marega has told those close to him that he no longer plans to return to FC Porto.

The 28-year-old who has never hidden his desire of playing in the Premier League believes that his dream is about to come to fruition.

The Abolo.PT report claims a fee of £31million has been touted as the price the Hammers have agreed to pay for the player who scored 21 goals and made 11 assists in all competitions last season.

Rival Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also said to be in the race to sign the striker.

West Ham have thought to have scouted the FC Porto forward for some time but have previously put off by the £40m valuation put on his head by the Portuguese club.

  1. This guy is so overrated… if we buy him for that much we will regret it. Theres a reason hes linked every single year to many clubs and nobody buys him.

  2. Following on from others
At 28 yo and Porto expecting 31m, it’s no wonders he’s not on top of anyone’s list
Seems like we are going back to the loanee and over the hill players because they are cheap
