West Ham are considering signing 21-year-old Nice Centre back Malang Sarr as a replacement for Issa Diop according to one report.Get French Football News suggests the Hammers have placed OGC Nice central defender Malang Sarr on their shortlist in the event of the summer departure of Issa Diop to Manchester United.The 21-year-old is under contract with Les Aiglons until the end of June and has yet to sign a new deal with the club and therefor will be available as a free agent on 30th June.
Inter, Gladbach and RB Leipzig are also understood to have made enquiries to the player’s agent who could be worth up to £22.5m on a new long term contract.
Sarr has racked up 20 appearances in all competitions for Nice this season, scoring once.
23-year-old Issa Diop was signed by West Ham from Toulouse in 2018 for £22.5m but the Hammers would let him go if a top six side came in with a bid of over £40m.

If they would let him go for that surely says in their opinion hes not up it for what they want. Tend to agree.
How would that even work? Ogbonna + him are both left-footed? Also, if he’s free, why on earth is he Diop’s replacement? Why not get him to partner Diop?
James is spot on partner diop not selling a top centre back and diop is a top centre back . Oggy love him but stays as back up and maybe sell rocky and cresswell and masu getting in two full backs imo
