Report: Hammers make first move for midfielder

|

ArterWest Ham are this morning reported to have made their first formal inquiry for Bournemouth’s Harry Arter.

The Cherries midfielder is well known to be on David Moyes’ wanted list as he bids to strengthen the team for the second half of the season.

Republic of Ireland international Arter has been in and out of Eddie Howe’s  side this season and has only appeared in 10 League games so far.

As we reported, he only signed a new four-year contract in July, but Bournemouth could be ready to sell as they need to recoup funds.

The Express claims West Ham made an initial inquiry for Arter this week but were rebuffed. However Moyes, determined to get his man, is set to go back in when the window opens.”

However, the manager has warned that whilst he wants to add players to the squad there are no guarantees and the odds are the club will need to go as high as £12 million to get their man.

Hope that Moyesie can land Carvalho and/or N’Zonzi ahead of guys like Arter!

Any chance we can have a fans vote on this one with a poll? as I honestly don’t believe this guy is good enough for the mighty hammers and nor do I believe many other do too COYI

Agree with Max & Crewe. I have said I like Arter but not really a improvement & will cost at least £15m. I think we need more creativity or the DM who can pass.
We were linked w Hamza Barry who at 23 has pace great passer & creator be about £5m. Could be a shrewd buy.
I’ve said before our best players haven’t come from the PL & if we can get a deal on a good player in the PL & is right fit go for it. But After is like Noble but 3 years younger but doesn’t have that Club link & love.
If we can get Nzozni or WC why not but £30m.

I think we need youth pace passing & creativity. Championship as a number of good players I’d take like Madisson from Norwich English 21yo scores from free kicks 7 goals 8 assists.
Even MLS Jack Harrison from NYC who was at Man U academy but went to Uni in America.
And Miguel Almiron been linked w PL & there season is over Paraguay Intl 23.
Really love Mohamed Elynoussoui who has 12 assists & 5 goals fast great passer & 23 Basel CL experience. £10m maybe but great for present & future. Southampton are keen on him & they generally do great scouting & recruiting. Austin one we should of bought.
Lanzini our most creative player didn’t come from PL came from Riverplate on loan.

I think there are a lot of good players out there PL experience can help or it can mean nothing. Still have to adapt but I think our new staff will make it easier for any players to adapt.

Important window & I hope Moyes & Henry get IR right but just not sold on Arter.

So they said no to £8m & he isn’t a regular for them or Ireland at 27.
I think we should take that as hint to move on. Def not worth £15m & way Noble has been playing not better then him.
    Go for creativity
