According to fresh reports in Spain, Valencia has lodged an €8m (£6.9m) offer for West Ham striker Javier Hernandez and remains keen on signing him this month, claims Spanish newspaper Marca.
Marca say Valencia are still ‘obsessed’ with the Mexico striker following a report earlier this month that they had a ‘personal agreement’ with the striker and now say they are ‘willing to wait until the end of January’ in order to get their man.
West Ham are thought to be holding out for a deal between £10-£12m but it is unclear if the two clubs can find an agreement. In an interview with Marca in November, Chicharito ‘did not rule out’ a departure from the Hammers: “My only desire is to play as much as possible and earn a starting place.”
Two days ago Valencia manager Marcelino García Toral spoke for the first time about the possibility of Hammer Javier Hernandez before the transfer deadline closes next week.
“Chicharito is an option because he isn’t playing much and is in favour of joining, but the situation is complicated,” Marcelino is reported as saying by Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo “The little information I have is that West Ham are only considering a sale, but my job is to put a team out. I’m not the one who decides whether or not to buy footballers.”
Tell them £10 million they can take him he was **** yesterday and didn’t look one bit interested. In actual fact half the team didn’t look interested so they either step up or put them in the reserves and sell them in the summer. What a disgrace , maybe it’s something to do with the Arnie rubbish , even so they are supposed to be professional. I expect much better at Wolves .
They can afford any price West Ham put on the pea. They have a very rich but street smart owner.
