Report: Moyes has Championship winger target

|

West Ham are interested in signing Bristol City winger Antoine Semenyo during the summer window according to a report from TEAMtalk.

The competition in signing said player isn’t too intimidating with the likes of Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Southampton apparently involved.

David Moyes could be looking for a new winger as Andriy Yarmolenko uncertain and Felipe Anderson’s future certainly at an end.

Semenyo can also operate in the centre-forward role which is a big incentive to sign him.

He was almost signed by Chelsea back in 2019, but the deal fell through with the price of 2 million considered too high for the West London club.

The 21 year old has had a top season at Ashton Gate scoring five goals in 43 appearances and could easily be one of those form the lower divisions that the Hammers boss makes a point of scouting on a regular basis.

His contract expires in 2023 but at around £2 million may be seen as one worth a gamble.
