Report: Obiang exit edges closer

|

Pedro Obiang’s agent has ‘already met’ with the Serie A side AS Roma over a potential move back to Italy according to GialloRossi.Net.

They claim Roma have continued to keep a close eye on Obiang, despite failing to secure a deal for the player in January when he was denied permission to move by the club.

The 27-year-old made 24 appearances for West Ham in the Premier League during Manuel Pellegrini’s debut season in charge but the board promised to sanction his move back to Italy this summer after he was refused my move last winter.

The midfielder is no stranger to Serie A, after making his name in Italy by progressing through the ranks at Sampdoria.  He has family back in Italy and is said to be desperate to return.  The Hammers are hoping to get up to 10 million Euros (£8.9m) for the midfielder who cost them 6 million Euros (£5.34m) in 2015.
