A report in the Daily Express claims that Valencia has returned with a new offer for Maxi Gomez.The article the La Liga club had an opening bid of around £22m knocked back by Celta – but are now offering a new players plus cash deal. The new offer includes £13m plus forward Santa Mina and youth players Jorge Saenz de Miera and Kangin Lee.
Gomez is ready to keep his options open, with Spurs also holding some interest but has told friends he wants to play Champions League football next season – which would be a problem for West Ham. The striker netted 13 goals in 34 games for Celta Vigo last season.

Key to the Maxi Gomez situation is whether he wants to play for us or not, if he has his heart set on staying in Spain or playing in the Champions League we should move on and focus on someone who wants to play for us.
Ultimately he is unproven in the Premier League and I can’t see West Ham paying the £44.5m release fee even if he decides he wants to play for us. We are told that there are plenty of alternatives some of which have not been publicly named but the current focus is moving on Javier Hernandez to free up transfer fund and wages.
It seems pretty obvious to me that Celta are in need of cash to buy players,not to be “donated” 2 youngsters who may be some time away from the first team,if they make it at all.With just 13m euros shows me that Valencia don’t have the money to buy Gomez.Having said that do we really want to buy a player who who wants to play for Spuds and that’s only if he can replace Kane and Son?Some people have no taste.
I dont think the boss would be trying to get a player that is not going to be fully committed and have the desire to play for us, Pelle has been around too long to make that sort of mistake. If Pelle wants him then nuff said, no matter what the rumours in the press say.
Enough of this tool tell him were to go ,it’s obvious we are his last option if he dosnt get his spuds or Valencia move ,move on to someone who wants to play for us…
