Report: West Ham in advanced talks with Lazio

|

Gazzetta dello Sport correspondent Nicolo Schira claims West Ham are in advanced talks with Lazio over Felipe Anderson who they want to offer a five-year contract.

Writing on his personal Twitter account last night  Schira explained that the deal is being worked on by super agent Kia Joorabchian after West Ham reportedly tabled a £33million bid for the player.

Just twenty hours ago we are led to believe that the Hammers had a club record £33m bid rejected by Lazio who value him at £44m (50m Euros)

The 25-year-old right-winger scored four goals and provided seven assists in 21 appearances in Serie A last season. He also scored three goals in seven appearances in the Europa League as Lazio made the quarter-finals, where they were beaten by RB Salzburg.

Anderson signed from Santos for £6.75m in 2013 and they are said to retain a 25% sell on clause on him, He won a cap for Brazil in 2015 during an excellent campaign but lost form during the 2016-17 season.

    My fingers are crossed.

This player is decent. I hope they make sure the paperwork is all in order though if they’re dealing with Kia Joorabchian. I remember the last time. Tevez and Mascherano were pretty good players though weren’t they? I’ve never been as excited over a transfer window as that one. I thought we were going to the next level back then. Maybe we would have done if pardew and then curbishly hadn’t sat them both on the bench while we flirted with relegation.

Imagine Anderson and Fredericks on the right, Antonio and Masuaku on the left. We would have two of the fastest wings in world football.
