Rice claims his future is all “noise and speculation”

Declan Rice is continuing to deny or confirm that he is on his way out of West Ham this summer.

The speculation is absolutely intense despite Claret and Hugh being told that the summer transfer window signings will be based on the fees received for him and others.

However, Declan as the team captain, continues to give fans hope that a major change of mind could see him remain at the club with which he grew up from the age of 14.

Details of his contract offers from West Ham are well known to have been over £200,000 – all of which have been rejected – and the club allegedly have a gentleman’s agreement with him that he will go.

Declan has always claimed only to want to win things – money is not his main motivator – but some of us continue to hope!

Asked if defeating the Italian side would be the perfect way to sign off on his time with David Moyes’ side, Rice told the Evening Standard: “I’ve not really focused on any of that, to be honest. My main focus this season, from the World Cup onwards, has been getting us out of a relegation battle and, of course, having one eye on winning this trophy.

“Everything else is just noise and speculation. Obviously, I can’t help that, it comes with playing. But my main focus is playing for West Ham and winning this final.

Noise and speculation……. about right. Declan’s an honest fella – if he was off the Bayern or Arsenal in a months’ time he wouldn’t say anything at all. I can see him staying on for another year
