Rice is too good for West Ham says Moose

|

TalkSport radio presenter Ian Abrahams has angered West Ham supporters by saying Declan Rice is too good for West Ham saying if the Hammers get £80m for Rice, the money has to be given to David Moyes adding that the money should not be wasted on ‘big name’ players.

The Moose has upset fans who believe sometimes are better off unsaid and the West Ham supporting radio presenter has hit back on social media by saying ‘Laughing at people who don’t think ⁦Declan Rice⁩ is worth £80m+. The ⁦England⁩ midfielder, is only 21, has already played 100 plus games, reads the game better than most, his passing and tackling are exceptional and he excels in two positions at least’

Rice has been linked with a move back to Chelsea this summer but manager Frank Lampard was quick to play down speculation by telling reporters. “Declan Rice is a good player. I have known Declan Rice for a long time in Chelsea’s academy, but there is no talk, and I will keep saying that with games to play.”

Crass radio journalism by this clown – to be openly offering a ” know your place WestHam’ comment and virtual signalling for Declan to go – no doubt to his favourite club. As a neutral sports journo this bloke is not fit for purpose.

  • Mojen says:

It beggars belief doesn’t it. The club he says he supports and basically says one of their best players should leave the club. He will of course no doubt in future – should west ham haven’t won anything – and rice departs question why. You really couldn’t make it up. Seems west ham aren’t allowed good players. On that basis no idea how he expects any club never mind west ham to progress. it will always be the big 6. Silly me mean the big 2 ! Dear oh dear.! Lucky others have different ideas.

    • At a timer Mojen when it’s obvious to anyone with half an eye that in Rice, Bowen, Soucek, Fornals we are forming the nucleus of a decent side.

    • Martin says:

Haha! but he does currently have a point. We may have improved in recent games. I hope we keep him and improve the team around him. The only way we’ll keep him come the end of next season (if he doesn’t leave this season), is if we’ve improved massively and even then Mason Mount is a huge encouragement for him to join Chelsea.

  • Mojen says:

We are that.and along with people like Antonio and also haller if he starts firing. Looks promising. Just make sure we stay up. Think we will but sooner sorted the better.

  • DJHammer says:

Moose is a terrible spokesperson for Hammers fans.
Non supporting pundits display more substansive input, ie Don Hutchinson, Trevor Sinclair
    regularly.
Moose just seems so uninformed about what is really happening at our club, always playing into the hands of the narrative, crisis at WHUFC.
