Spurs supporters turned their backs on the game against Luton in the 65th minute in protest against the scrapping of season ticket concession discounts.
West Ham owners will be following events closely for fears the protests could spill over the London Stadium on Tuesday night as they play the North London team.
West Ham has also removed the concession discounts for new season tickets although, unlike Spurs existing season ticket holders will not be affected at this time.
Last season Hammers supporters complained that West Ham raised the senior citizen discount to those over 66 with all those who just reached 65 years of age missing out.
Founder season ticket holders’ discounts were also removed last season, a discount that those who first signed up for season tickets in 2016 enjoyed.
The news on phasing out concession discounts at the London Stadium comes as season tickets rose above the rate of inflation by between 6% and 11%.
The club have also vowed to stop season ticket holders who rarely use their seats or put them on ticket exchange from renewing.
West Ham insists they must raise ticket revenues to compete with the likes of Spurs while complying with financial fair play regulations.
All eyes will be on Spurs and West Ham fans in the 65th and 66th minute of Tuesday’s London derby to see if the protests continue.
If true next season will be my last as I attend as a senior with my autistic/learning disability son.
At West Ham we should set the standard for all forms of discrimination as indeed we have to date given our stadium rent is so cheap.
They want more money to buy players like Phillips £150000 a week plus loan fee, massive players wage bill and staff, scouts, that seem to do nothing. Moyes has lost the club millions on crap signings buy high sell low . They pick on OAP and kids season tickets, how low can you get. You should start charging the so called celebrity West Ham fans who get in free.
WH don’t care about us fans to them we’re customers.
