Sam not sure there’s a bigger club for Reid

|

reidSam Allardyce isn’t convinced Winston Reid can find a bigger or better club than West Ham.

Desperate to keep hold of Reid, the manager provided an update on the central defender’s situation earlier today.

He said: “We’ve done as much as we possibly can [to keep Reid]. It was probably the longest [set of] negotiations I’ve ever seen with a player.

Whether we can get there in the end, I’m not sure. That’s in the chairman’s hands, not mine.

“I just hope, with us doing so well this year, and us moving into the new stadium, is there a bigger or better club around than West Ham for Winston Reid? I’m not so sure there is, you know.”

I agree with Sam …. WOW. If he finds a bigger club than ours he will spend 4 yrs warming the bench and his career will slowly die. He is a very good west ham player but no more than that

Gettin a bit like old chip papers now. We all know how good Reid is, or thinks he is and we are all aware of his limitations.

A very good stopper but not a good enough defender for the so called “top 4-6 clubs” to take a chance on him as his footballing qualities and ability to play out from the back are to much for them to take a£60 grand a week gamble on.

Reid is at the best club for him where he will have the opportunity to grow into a better player, playing with better quality players in one of the best stadiums in the country for the best team in the world! Nuff said! COYI!
