Samuelsen ‘warning’ for Blackburn

martin-samuelsen-west-hamWest Ham are keen to see Martin Samuelsen get a run of games with his loan club Blackburn Rovers after his goalscoring international apparance against San Marino for Norway last night.

The exciting youngster has managed just three appearances for Rovers who are currently in an identical Championship position to the Irons in the PL – third off bottom.

And the Hammers are closely monitoring the situation after negotiating  loan deal a setp up the divisions from League One Peterborough to whom he was loaned last term.

But a source inside the club said: “We want Martin to get games – the whole point of loaning out youngsters is to see them grow up in the game which is why we chose  a Championship outfit.”

The message from the club is clear – that the player could be recalled from Ewood Park should he spend too much time on the Ewood Park sidelines.

Our source said: “We monitor the progress our loaned players are making very carefully as it is a very important part of their development.”
