Injury-prone former Hammers striker Gianluca Scamacca appears to be having fresh problems following his move to Atalanta
Italian outlet Calciomercato have today run a report declaring that the former Hammers front man suffered a muscle strain in his left flexor during Atalanta’s match against Fiorentina.
A diagnosis is due soon but the results are unlikely to be released until Wednesday. One doesn’t like to see injured players anywhere but is starts to feel as of the front man does have real, problems staying fit and we may have done the right thing in selling him.
Despite his short time on the pitch so far, Scamacca had two goals in four appearances for the Serie A side since the move from West Ham.
Calciomercato already claims that the striker will ‘almost certainly’ not take part in the games against Rakow Czestochowa on Thursday and versus Cagliari on Sunday.
The Italian club paid West Ham €25m for the transfer and handed e Scamacca a four-year contract.
