Aston Villa next and it will be interesting to discover any thoughts David Moyes may share on his likely team selection at his pre-match presser.

We don’t expect too much because that’s simply not the manager’s way but he is clearly edging towards using Gianluca Scamacca as a starter.

And having indicated that may be the case, the striker is clearly more than enthusiastic to take his chance in the midlands at the weekend.

After goals in both legs of the Conference qualifier and a very promising display in the opening game when coming on as sub against Manchester City he and the fans are keen to see him from the start.

He looked a class act against Viborg and afterwards spoke about what next to www.whufc.com

Discussing  last night’s game he said: “It was a good night. It was important to win and it wasn’t easy here, but we did very good work.

“Now we need to take this to the Premier League and we will do.

“It was nice to score and we are getting confidence together. I think in the next weeks we will be better.”

His opener gave the visitors a firm grim on the tie, before second half goals from Saïd Benrahma and Tomáš Souček completed the victory.

“We want to be in the Europa Conference League, so it was so important to win,” Scamacca added.

“Everyone want to play in the European competitions, so it was a big night for us and we will give 100 percent to go as far as possible.”
