Season ticket holders must commit for two years

|

osThe news that West Ham have increased capacity has also bought fresh news that new Hammers season ticket holders at the Olympic Stadium will need to commit for two season rather than one.

The 6,000 additional seats will soon go on sale from the 4th April at the Stratford reservation centre but with those lucky enough to be chosen from the remaining 40,000 priority list will need to commit for two years at £289 per season for a band 5 ticket.

The two year commitment does not affect the 40,000+ of those who have already chosen their seats for the Olympic Stadium.

It is not clear whether the £578 will need to be paid  completely up front but the club do confirm finance options are available.  Over 34,000 supporters are likely to be disappointed but they will form one of the largest season ticket waiting list in the Premier League.

Got a call this morning from the centre telling me I have an appointment on 4 April second on the list , they said I had to commit for 2 years at a small discount price , which works out 15 quid a game ! Over the moon but feel sorry for those that will miss out , life long supporters IMO got a rough deal with the two friends introduction to existing s/t/holders,
It didn’t have to be that way, it should have been first come first served after existing t/h got their tickets ! It meant that I missed out by 2 ticket places , I’m a lucky little plucker but I do not agree with the system they used ?

  • When did you join the list Johnboy?

got my call too – very happy with the offer, but would like to know more about where they will be – joined the list about 6 months ago – am in Brussels 🙁 so do not need to attend in person.

Do you know when you joined the list? I was 29th September so not holding out much hope… A guy at work thought he had joined the list last year – rung up to check and he wasn’t on there. He made a right fuss and they gave him an appointment there and then! Wonder how many of those will bump is further down the list.

    • He must have had some proof though, can’t just be queue jumping

Nope was a complete queue jump, just made a fuss and the guy let him in. Hoping it was a one off but it does make you wonder. The guy in charge – called Matt apparently – just made the decisions on an ad hoc basis. My mate tried to get me boosted up the list but he said no lol
