Season tickets up for grabs

Around 3,500 season tickets will be made available to those on the West Ham season ticket waiting list after just  94% were sold to current holders.

The waiting list once reached 55,000 but two seasons ago the club decided to  requesting that supporters opt back in each season to confirm interest in acquiring a season ticket.

The initial season  in 2016 at the London Stadium saw 50,000 season ticket founders but over the past six years around 23,500 have not renewed and have been replaced by those on the waiting list.

Another 8,500 on the waiting list have received tickets as the London Stadium capacity grew from 54,000 in 2016 to 62,500 in 2022. That means a total of 32,000 new season ticket holders have received a ticket from the waiting list since  the move.

Spurs claims to have 98,000 on their season ticket waiting list while Manchester United say theirs is 120,000!

Arsenal quote a ten year waiting list for a season ticket while Liverpool say they waiting list has been closed since 2011.
