Slav gets a “change nothing “message for WBA

|

arnau1Slaven Bilic has received a message from an old mate: “Change nothing for the game against West Brom at the weekend.”

Tony Cottee – speaking exclusively to ClaretandHugh  can see no room in the side for Marko Arnautovic who is looking for a return to action after suspension.

But Cottee said: ” Slav and the boys got it spot on in every sense against Huddersfield so why would you want to change anything? For me, Arnie should be on the bench where suddenly we are getting some really great options.

“With everybody fit – a luxury Slav hasn’t had very often –   we are looking a very good squad indeed and although Huddersfield were not a great side we made them look worse than we are – another performance like that at the Hawthorns would be tremendous.

“This wasn’t a scrappy win like some of those last year when we heard them talking about confidence returning when the manner of the performance said otherwise.

“This time I believe they will feel a whole lot better about themselves because the team really dug in and produced a convincing performance.

When you realise Marko may have to settle for a place on the bench and Lanzini is still to come back you begin to realise what a great squad this is.

TC disregards the so called tension between the manager and co-chairman ahead of the game saying: “It’s over hyped. These are two strong guys with very big opinions and there’s nothing wrong with that.

“But it would be good if they could both keep quiet about signings – it really doesn’t need to keep going into the public domain and is unhelpful.”

Will TC ever consider becoming our manager, some time in the future…?

  • Michael Miller says:

He’s picking up an easy living as a pundit with Sky and the rest – why should he want all the grief that comes with being a Manager?

Def need to keep 3 at the back it works so much better for us saw it last season. It takes 1 position of front but sures up the back so much better. Fonte does well in back 3.
Only thing is do u want to risk burning AC or use him. Guess against WBA might be good for height tho Marko could offer same and Antonio and Chic good get in behind.
Can switch up the front 3 for me besides Antonio as long as we keep 3 centre halves
