Slav gets his man second time around

|

lanziniSlaven Bilic has got his man the second time around in Manuel Lanzini.

The Hammers boss was keen to take him to Besiktas two years ago but said: “Then it it was very difficult. We were close but now the chance came that we could get him and of course he’s going to help us a lot.

He’s going to add even more creativity in the crucial parts of the pitch.

The boss told West Ham TV: “He’s a good player and we are happy that he joined us.

At just 20 years of age they gave him the No10 shirt at River Plate, which is a massive club, of course.

“I am confident and I’m hopeful that he can adapt. We’re going to see. He’s not very strong but he rides challenges, he doesn’t go down.

“So I hope he could be bingo for us. I am really hopeful and I think I have a feeling that he’s going to help us a lot.”

The first rumour I read about this guy some time ago said he was a striker. Obviously he isn’t ,officially, even though he seems to score like one.
Still, it is another firm indication that Bilic is packing his midfield, particularly with attacking midfielders, with,as yet, no real rumour about strikers. This to me, shows this is where he expects his success to come from.
Didn’t Spain win the WC without having a legitimate striker on the field?w

You’re right in every detail canchaz and very positive comparing us to Spain be nice to get anywhere near that standard. I am loving all these flair players should lead to a really memorable, entertaining and hopefully successful last season at the Boleyn to give her the send off she deserves. Think I’m saying her and she because the BG can thrill, excite, annoy, frustrate, really wind you up and give you the best couple of hours ever lol

So another skilful talented youngster signs, what a change in 12 months. This time last year we were looking at overpriced, overage players such as Lambert and Wickham and the maradona of the North East Lee Cattermole. The days of dinosaur football replaced by pace, skill and movement and players that might get you off the edge of your seat… There are those who pessimisticly trudge along( you know who you are) who can’t take off there hippo onesies or take there KN posters down and will crawl out the woodwork at the 1st bad result, but for the 1st time in 4 years im going into the season with a smile on my face

  • WestGoaHam says:

God help us. The thought of a KN poster! AARRGHH.

    • GW says:

The KN poster, hangs around on the corner of your wall doing nothing in particular, staring blankly at you then falling down for no reason…. Not a poster more like true life art lol

  • Lt. Quickdrawovic 1st Slavalry C&H Regt says:

I was thinking a KN poster would cover a feature wall, difficult to see why you spent so much on it as it fades badly and doesn’t match the rest of the decor especially as the tall standing lamp you bought to match keeps falling over but the overpriced interior designer said it was perfect and it’d always be there, mind you all he did was slag the house off, showed no interest and took the money lol

    • GW says:

Quick how dare you slag him off, he was the one reason we came up, he did the job asked of him, he’s the captain on and off the field, we must fall at his feet and proclaim his name from the rooftops, we must ring the bells at St Paul’s on his birthday and hold nationwide street parties, he is the man who single handily saved West Ham for only 50k a week… All hail KN the man with no legs…

Umm I thought that was the Dudley deity who’s super brain tactics meant we cunningly didn’t get promoted directly but had the grand worshipping at Wembley. A management God so unique that he and he alone has the spiritualism to continue to use the cherished Plan A,all reverence be shown to it.

I see Slaven has been quoted as saying Lanzini is a David Silva….. interesting.!!
