Slav gets three game “win” warning

|

bilic2Slaven Bilic needs to win at least one of the next  three games if he is to survive as West Ham manager.

He has now lost his last four and five in all as the season has degenerated into a total shambles and with three “winnable” games ahead, we have learned he has to get three points from at least one to save himsef. Draws won’t be any good to him!

Middlesbrough and Sunderland at home with Palace at Selhurst Park sandwiched between them is Slav’s make or break period and he is set to have some players returning after the international break.

Beyond that and during November the team facces trips to Goodison Park, White Hart Lane and Old Trafford while playing  host to Stoke City in the League.

We were told by sources inside the club that he would be given every opportunity to put things right over the upcoming three games.

But one senior soure warned: “If there wasn’t a win after these three games the decision would have to be made. He is set to get players back and that will help a lot.

“But you can’t go on losing game after game without having to make a big decision. We cannot be in a position by Christmas where we are playng a serious catch up game.”

Good to see that the bar isn’t set too high… Jeeeesus.. Boro, the monkey hangers at home and palace away and 1 win.. Seriously..?!?!? 9 points, or at least 7 we should expect, then again maybe our expectations are too high.. Watford, WBA, Soton and even being so lucky against the powerhouse that are known as Accrington Stanley ….

Personally I think he is being let off the hook too easily. There should be a minimum of 6 points from 9.Anyway I can’t see us getting the 3 points without a total change of attitude from all concerned. All the hype going to the OS and some ordinary signings I think “underachievers” is a suitable title.

I’m sorry to say that Slav. should go now. When we were knocked out of the Europa cup Slav looked a tired and beaten man and has never recovered. The squad on paper is arguably the best at Slavs disposal. As soon as they went 1-0 down against Southampton there heads dropped. Sorry to say it all points to the manager. It’s a tough world but to lose another 3points against Middlesborough with Slav. In charge is inevitable I feel.

I understand the fustration but can I ask a couple of questions?
    1. Having struggled and failed to sign Jurgen Klopp etc who are we going to be happy with as a replacement if we sack Bilic? Mark Hughes? Tony Pulis?
    2. Have we forgotten last season? Look at where the Spuds were ‘early doors’ and where they ended up.
Short memories I think being demonstrated here. Bilic has not become a bad manager over night. Have we matched a single team for work rate this season? I think the tactics do need looking at. Slaven seems wedded to having a group of players camped out on the oppostion’s defensive line and seemingly no midfield to help get the ball to them. It is frustrating to see more forwards come on during the game for midfielders and you know the ball is not going to stickl to them if it ever gets that far. Bilic is not blameless, I agree, but I think the players have let him down baddlly. Poor concentration and zero effort. But going back to Spurs start last season it proves it is still all to play for. We just can’t assume that we are entitled to anything. A big stadium should not mean a Billy Big B0££ox attitude… and that is what we have developed. Watford & Southampton had no fear and neither will anyone else. We have got to man up and play for the shirt… tricks and twiddles can come later. But don’t dispair! It is a long season… though I wouldn’t put the house on us winning the title!

Typical Wet Spam suppoters.A bit of a rough trot & you are calling for the managers head.
Thanks fo giving me a laugh this morning.

Dont think he should be sacked thats ridiculous. He does need to sort out some of these odd decisions hes making and now is the time to grow a set and really shake the squad up. If the top boys aint performing then let them face the embarrassment of being dropped for a teenager. Oxford Matinez and Fletcher should be in now. Fernandes or obiang in for noble. Be brave slav for the sake of the club.

I have been saying in a few posts that we shouldn’t be panicking at this early stage of the season ; now I am questioning my own posts and thoughts . To sack Slaven Bilic would be a massive step to take so early on , but having said that , we look nowhere near solving the problems any time soon . London Stadium , loads of publicity and self adoration gives every single visiting team a huge lift and will to stuff us . Plus , our signings are proving to be a load of old second hand over ripe bananas which we are slipping up on every game . The two Dave’s have done what they thought was the best thing ( in leaving the Boleyn ) for West Ham to go forward .
Can’t condemn them for that . But Thier judgement on selecting a Stadium unsuitable for football and fans is definitely questionable . Bilic is not helping though with his tactics and the team looks totally disjointed and lost . It’s fair to say we should start getting very worried now and an ultimatum for Slaven Bilic is imo justified . We need a big time , big stadium kind of manager and Bilic is not , at the moment , proving to be that man . If he can get the team performing then that would be great , but if Not !!? Don’t forget that he was third choice manager anyway ….. In retrospect maybe Pardew or Benitez would have fared better .
Too late now , so we must support who we have ; but not for too much longer if things continue as they are without improvement . Sorry it’s your head on the block Slaven , but that’s how it is .

Sorry but hearing all this sack bilic talk is b*****s. I know some of his decisions have been shocking but the players are to blame. Not one of them deserves to be playing in the claret and blue. And I do mean all of them. F*****g disgrace.

  • PopRobson says:

I admire some of the support on here for Slav….and I like the bloke a lot…but he gets paid the big bucks to manage the players, if they are not performing then they are not performing for him…and he has to take the can for that, no one else can. I too think he is getting off lightly, three points from that set of games ? FFS we should be going for 6-9 minimum. Sorry but this isn’t panic, this is 6 games in with 5 being lost….and shipping a whole load of goals, I am a ST holder so I go to each match at the OS and quite frankly I am questioning my sanity. If we wait too long then it becomes beyond our reach and we are looking forward to joining Villa in the champs…..

  • hammerjk says:

First of all this isn’t 6 games. This is the whole of pre season and the Europa league qualifiers. We have not been on it at all. Bilic did a great job last year but… And there has to be a but, he looks lost for ideas at the moment. There is no doubt that the players are letting him down massively. People not working hard enough, not tracking back, applying zero pressure to the opposition and so on. When you club captain stands in front of a to camera and gives such a blunt and downbeat assessment of the current situation and is followed by a manager who admits in his press conference that he is struggling for ideas to turn this around there is definite cause for concern.
Confidence is the issue here and a lack of it drains energy and stops you doing things correctly. Things you do on instinct in training but can not at that time do under pressure. The turning point was losing a 2-0 lead to Watford. Prior to that we were playing some great football but as soon as Watford pulled it back it got under the players skin. To then lose the game compelled it.
Both Slav and the players have the responsibility to find an answer.

  • slaven a laugh says:

This is the same manager that last season was the dogs donuts and now some pond life are calling for him to be sacked after six games. Quite incredible. You lose a few battles during the war you don’t get rid of Churchill ffs. Yes the manager is ultimately responsible and Slav is big enough to accept that but it’s the players that need to stand up and be counted.

    • hammerjk says:

I agree that Slav has earnt some time but there has to be a breaking point. Just out of interest, when would that be for you?

  • PopRobson says:
