Slav on the player “who has everything”

Slaven Bilic has some very high hopes stacked up on Dimitri Payet’s shoulders …and he doesn’t believe he will be disappointed.

Payet has been a massive hit on his cameo performances against Peterborough United and Norwich City in pre-season friendlies but the first acid test is set to come against FC Astra in tonight’s Europa Cup clash.

And the manager will almost certainly have a very special eye on the Frenchman declaring: “He is going to make every player better than they actually are. He’s got everything.

“He’s not only a great player, he’s a professional and is a good lad. He’s the kind of player I thought we really needed and the chairman did a great job to get him.

Slav told the official site: “He’s doing really well at the moment. It may go a bit up and down. But we’re going to help him and he’s going to help us.”
