Slaven Bilic praised his team’s professionalism as we recorded yet another Boleyn victory.
The manager declared that after a great start Villa controlled the game until a crazy incident when Ayew threw elbow into the face of Aaron Cresswell and was red carded .
And Bilic said: “I wouldn’t say the red card decided the match but it obviously affected it particularly in the second half when we were very professional and patient.
“We didn’t rush the final ball but tried to find the solution and eventually broke them down but even then we didn’t lose our composure and shape.
“It was a very good goal from Michail Antonio and after that we controlled the game and played good football. However, you are always nervous until the second goal but when we got it we deserved it.”
Prior to the sending off it looked like we would be happy with a point , let alone 3 ! Villa were all over us , we were so slow out of the blocks again . Why do we struggle at home so much against lower half sides ? Beats me ! Hope Slav can sort it out or i can see us losing a match like this next time .
Another three points on the board, and still players to come back in. Yes Noble had a great game, as did Antonio But surely the man of the match award should go to Mark Lawrenson. He predicted a 2-0 win. The man is a genius.

Well where are they the we were just the same last season under Hippo some points same position,
No one can say the result would have not been 4-0 if they still had 11, we did what we had to do against 10 men and other games under Hippo we even lost these games,
We needed to work hard to break them down Noble leading the team by example worked hard to get this result and I take my hat off to him as one of his biggest critics

Some folks are very hard to please.
Win is a win that’s great for us especially at home and we got some goals.Just think about it last season we started February with 36 same as now and after 4 games (3D, 1L) ended the month with 39 points and this season we just played 1 game and already hit that 39. Things are looking good lets just keep the momentum going and top 5 looks like reality.
When we reach our ambition of being a top four team, most teams are going to come and park the bus at our ground. We are going to have to learn how to deal with this type of game on a more regular basis once we are CL regulars !
