Slaven Bilic has declared himself “realistically very optimistic” about the season ahead.
Speaking to West Ham TV the new boss said: ‘There’s a lot of things we can improve. There’s a lot of things we are very good at and with the addition of a few players.
He added: ‘We have a good team and we have a chance, it’s a very difficult league that comes down to two or three games with a little bit of luck that you have to deserve and is necessary. We can do really, really good.
‘That’s why I came here, if I was pessimistic when I come then what would be the point so I am very optimistic.’
Meanwhile David Sullivan is working hard to bring in new players and said: “I hope we will have a few more players with one or two very exciting signings. We will be making bids for players and will see what will develop over the coming weeks.
“We know we need to strengthen the squad and have competition for places. We are not panicking and know we have plenty of time.”

Ahah… Are you sure Slav? Improvement? Nah… I think all the fantastic work made by Sam it’s perfect as it is… 😀
There’s one really big thing we have improved on already thanks to your arrival Slav lol
Start the season like last year, don’t play Nolan ever make Carroll wait on the bench,
Find that right back creative midfielder and a fast accurate winger we are on our way.
Spot on bubs 😉
I wouldn’t let Nolan in the ground ever again. FO & take your stupid chicken dance with you. When chickens stop laying eggs the farmer takes action, well Nolan has stopped scoring (or even playing football)………… any ideas..??
Headless chicken dance?
