Slaven Bilic has revealed that the Hammers “have to come back ” from the massive Manchester City defeat against Crystal Palace this weekend.
And in his Monday column on the official website he says: ““The same players played really well a few days ago, with ten men.
“We showed how we could defend as a team, even with ten men, so we have a good quality within our team. We have to come back from this against Palace next week.
“Always when you have a big defeat it affects confidence, but we have enough days to work, get that confidence back and be ready for Palace.”
Heading over this weekend from Ireland but finding it hard to get tickets, four of us in total, should we be able to get them on the day do ye reckon, will it be a sell out?
Where in Ireland are you based Dicolloi?
Well, the obvious thing to say firstly is that it wasn’t the same team – Kouyate, Payet, Randolph were all starters against ManU – that being said, the team played differently against Man City, they stood off them, gave them plenty of room and didn’t press the ball at all.
After a dodgy penalty, the spirit seemed to go out of the players and they just seemed to go down without a fight, it was very disappointing – strange substitutions from Bilic only added to the confusion, it was a shambles.
