Slaven Bilic has told reporters he will look for players that tick all the boxes when asked a question about the transfer window at this morning’s pre-match press conference:
“You want to tick all the boxes” replied Slav
“You want players that are young, that are cheap. that are good players, they score goals and they have experience in the Premier League” saying they should also be “handsome” he added with a laugh.
Bilic continued: “You can’t have those kind of players some times because there are other clubs looking for them but yes we are trying. I have said it so many times, English or British players have priority because this is an English club, a British club but even more than that you need the players who have experience in the Premier League. I have never said this is the best league in the world, you can argue whether it is German or Spanish or Italian league. This is a different league, it is a most difficult one and the players a lot of the time, even the great players need time to settle in, that’s why we are looking for players who have played in this league and then the risk is lower of course. But therefore those players are very expensive or there are very few of them but we are trying to find them of course”
