Slaven’s back…well almost!

|

Slaven Bilic has become the big favourite to become West Brom manager after what is being reported as a successful interview.

The Baggies sacked Darren Moore in March, despite him taking the Baggies to fourth place and the Championship play offs but now it seems the former Hammers boss is on his way back to management.

Most reports claim it’s a near formality that he will take over at The Hawthorns after and interview on Tuesday.

The former Hammers boss had a great first Irons season of course with Dimitri  Payet making huge difference to the team but it all went wrong in 201 and after a run of poor results in the Premier League, culminating in a 4–1 home loss to Liverpool on 4 November 2017, he was sacked.

The announcement, made two days after the game, stated that “West Ham United can confirm that Slaven Bilic has today left his position with the club. West Ham United believe a change is now necessary in order for the club to move forward positively and in line with their ambition.”

West Brom will be hoping – should they appoint him – that he improves on his Hammers record of 1.33 points per  game, despite that being the best of any previous Hammers boss.

His most recent job with Saudi club Al-Lttihad, only lasted five months before he was removed in February earlier this year after winning just three of 15 games..

ClaretandHugh  wish him good luck should he be formally appointed as Baggies boss.

I really liked Slav – but it seems that the problems were with players fitness and discipline – which is why he may be better as an international coach where players get fit at their clubs

Anyway if he gets the job good luck to him
