Slaven’s fury so good to see

|

angry-bilic-624x447So – if we didn’t already know – Slaven has shown every one of us just how much he cares and how he can seriously lose it.

Furious didn’t get close to the manager’s mood at the end of a match where referee Michael Oliver reached a new low even by Premier League standards.

We thought we knew our manager as a guy who never looked for excuses and whom we had yet to see him lose his temper in a big way – an attitude which gave some the impression he was a soft touch.

But during and after today’s game he showed himself to be one ‘mean mother’ as he launched a TV camera to the ground in full fury before telling the world that the referee really was bad.

Michael-OliverThe anger he had shown when slam dunking the microphone was a sight to behold so never again let’s hear that this man is a pussy cat.

Oliver, he said, was awful and he feels very bitter about the defeat. From a man who has always taken responsibility for poor results, this was pretty radical an unusual stuff.

But it was good to see that under that sober and level headed persona lies a man fully capable of losing it when we see the sort of injustice on display today.

This is a bloke made of the right stuff and it was really good to see!

Anyone who thinks he is too soft or a pussy cat cant of seen him managing Besiktas. He was a lunatic sometimes. He actually said when he came to us he would need to calm down to manage in the PL.

What is going on with Ayew? His last game in Africa was last Saturday. Not even a sub today. I am not sure about him, but Bilic must not rate him at all. Unless he is joining the queue at A&E. See we are back to top of the PL for injuries on physioroom.com-10 they reckon, although to be fair it looks a bit out of date. Probably up to a dozen after today’s game! That’s not counting the mic that our manager vandalised!

Think you are over egging it a bit calling him a mean mother but yes it was great to see the passion and he was right to be infuriated by the inept performance of the officials, well done Slav COYI !!!

  • Max Willow says:

If Slav’s fury was good to see, then lets give a special gong for Lanzini’s passion and fury, which he showed on the pitch. Sets up the first goal and hits a stunner for what should have been the winning goal!!
    COYI

  • Terry says:

The officials were diabolical today.I wouldnt have smashed the mic up i would have rammed right up Olivers ****.

  • John says:

That was such a good performance today. Lots of positives to take away to the warm weather training. I think this squad is in a good place what e turn around eh?

Do you think we can put to bed once and for all the daft notions that a) we aren’t fit enough and b) the pitch is too big and is a problem or, the most ridiculous one c) it’s the gaps around the outside, it affects our passing!

Well done Slaven you did us proud despite dodgy officials.

Probably the best we’ve played this year. Gutted to concede the leveller, though.
Bilic needs to reign it in a bit though – showing passion is great, acting like the “special one,” not so much.
Lanzini is really stepping up to the plate.
Whilst Carroll would have been a serious threat in the box, I wonder how much having him in that side would have changed our style of play. For all his honest power and hard work, Antonio is not the answer down the middle. Perhaps we need to ask Eddie Jones for a finisher – Elliot Daly, anyone?

Proud of you Slaven . Must admit to doubting you in last couple of weeks but your reaction today was spot on . Just get your head round dropping Capt terrible permanently and watch us continue to improve . Bring back Joey O’Brien !!!!

  • mooneydick says:

Replays show Anonio was offside and interfering with play for Feghouli’s first “goal” and did touch the ball for the final throw in. But the throw in was taken from the wrong place and the first Baggies goal should have been ruled out for the foul on Febhouli. We should have got at least one penalty.
