Snodgrass stars for Slav

The former Hull man was in outstanding form and it would have been difficult for Slav to find higher words of praise for the 29 year old.

The manager said: “He was brilliant. Great vision, right foot, left foot, he is very good. He worked the space well but his work rate was fantastic.

“We expected that from him. Maybe not this week, but that’s why we got him. He showed he has heart and how good he is.”

“It’s very important to have that core of players who know the Premier League. It is difficult otherwise but that is the reason we signed him and Fonte, for that.”
