|

obiang1Thrilled David Gold made Pedro Obiang his man of today’s match with Robert Snodgrass a short head behind him.

He told ClaretandHugh: Wherever you looked there was a player giving his all – it couldn’t have been a better response after Wednesday night.

The manager took all the stick and all the speculation over his future but he had the perfect game plan an a team of players who played it to perfection so tremendous credit to the boss.

“It was a faultless performance and we started to see Aaron Cresswell come right back to his best which was great and Cheik Kouyate at right back was superb.

“Mark Noble did well in midfield and Andy Carroll was superb up front – it was a joy to watch and i couldn’t be more pleased.”

The manager also spoke in the greatest terms of Obiang saying:”Pedro should shoot more, he has that in himself. He changed the momentum for us and it was just a great day all around.”
